Just a note to thank you all for your care and attention with Dad’s funeral. You helped make a tough day much easier. Dad would have approved!

When my father died I was asked by my mother to organise his funeral as she did not feel able. I agreed but like many of you who will read these reviews I was terrified of making a mess of it. Like you did or will, I began looking online and in our area was offered Gubbin funeral directors run by the Wellington family, or an alternative. After looking at that, I decided to ask our friends network who consist of mainly the farming community. Gubbin was the only name mentioned unanimously. It was very daunting making contact but from the moment I called and spoke to Jo everything was taken care of from the start to the very finish. After the initial contact was made and the details of next steps were given to me, I had an appointment with Harry who confidently, and calmly went through every single aspect of what would happen at each stage. There were no hidden charges. There were no sudden changes of plan. There were no surprises or disappointments and no pushing unnecessary extras. I specifically asked for the cost of each thing because I was spending someone else’s money. Harry did not falter and immediately priced each item as we went so that everything was extremely transparent. Just imagine the day of the funeral arriving and your loved one treated with extremely solemn respect and professionalism and everything happening as you would expect and more. Harry and Jo won’t let you make a mistake and will guide you through the process calmly and confidently and will organise everybody around your loved ones day. From the church, to the announcements, to the grave site and the pall bearers. The gentlemen supplied by Harry to bear my father were the most respectful, kind and professional people I could possibly hope to meet. It was an honour gents. I can honestly say that what began as a nightmare of unknowns for me was quickly resolved by Harry and Jo into a beautiful ceremony and an everlasting memory of my fathers last days with us. Thank you Harry and Jo for everything that you do I could not have asked for more.

You helped us achieve a day where we could celebrate our lovely Mums life with respect and dignity. We are able to look back with fondness at our final goodbye, knowing we did the best for our Mum. Our sincerest gratitude to you Denise for such a caring and professional service.

Thank you so much for all the care, support and consideration you have shown us over this difficult period. You have made this so much easier to deal with. Mum’s funeral went off without a hitch all down to your care. She would have been very happy on how the day went, even sending the rainbows to us.

Dear Denise, just a little note to say thank you for all your help this year with Mum and Dad. Your kindness and compassion has been truly appreciated more than words can say. We were very appreciative of your professional and supportive service.

Thank you for your love. You were there when we needed you most and held us up. We’ll never forget that, and I know my beautiful mama is so grateful to you too. You are another of life’s angels and we hope this little gift means you get to look after yourself as well as all the other countless people you held so warmly in their time of need.
